Hi, I'm Alexander (Zaa-par-nee-uk), a Sound Designer working at EA Sports along side the FC Team.
Growing up in Vancouver, as an avid gamer, Warhammer 40k nerd, and regimented trumpet player, performing with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, as well as school orchestras and jazz bands. I quickly became passionate about working with others to create impactful experiences with sound.
My professional journey with audio began when I graduated from Vancouver Film Schools Sound Design for Visual Media program. While navigating the challenges of a worldwide pandemic, I managed to secure an audio Internship at Hothead Games which later turned into a position within the QA department.
Currently, I am also working as the Lead Sound Designer on an Indie title, Clown Meat! I recently finished an 8-month contract with Counterplay Games, working on an unannounced AAA title. While at Counterplay Games as a Junior Sound Designer I created our dynamic environment systems working with Senior Tech Artists as well as working closely with my Audio Director. To be given the task of managing a major system within the game was a huge undertaking, but one that I jumped on with enthusiasm and am really happy with the end result. I also expanded a lot on my Wwise implementation and Unreal 5 Blueprinting skills, while taking design feedback to further hone my skills as a designer. Moving forward in my career I'm looking to join another team that innovates and pushes the boundaries within the industry. Clown Meat
Currently working as the Lead Sound Designer and Audio Producer for an indie 2D Platformer, for PC.
I'm currently managing all audio assets being implemented by other audio designers, reviewing work weekly in stand-up meetings and giving feedback and guidance where necessary. Mixing all aspects of sound in FMOD and Unity creating the final vision of audio.

Counterplay Games
Worked as a Junior Sound Designer and Technical Audio Implementer on ARMATUS a AAA Rogue like shooter for PC, Xbox, and Switch 2.
I recorded and designed audio assets for enemy vocalizations and attacks, environment destructibles and modifiers, as well as gun weapons and player special abilities. Hooked up audio events within the associated Blueprints creating Post Events, RTPC Values, connected to the corresponding custom events within Wwise and Unreal 5.

Orderly Havoc
Worked as a freelance Sound Designer, Foley Artist, and Technical Audio Implementer on the AA Indie game Orderly Havoc. Currently the project is waiting for a release date.
Implemented assets using FMOD and Unreal Engine 5. I worked primarily on sound design, Foley, ambiences, and technical implementation.

As a Sound Designer game audio is my primary focus, however I'm not a fan of being close minded. Linear audio design comes with it's on set of challenges, and when the right project peaks my interest I'm usually all for it! I've worked on a verity of different projects from being a Boom Op, Live Sound Mixer, SFX Editor, Sound Designer, Foley Artist.

ZAP Library began as a passion project to build up my own personal sound effects
libraries for the games I was working on. As I began exploring the sonic world around me I wanted to share with the community all the amazing things I was hearing.



While working at Hothead Games, Alex did an exceptional job. He accepted any task or challenge given to him and succeeded beyond expectation. He maintains excellent technical skills as well as a keen grasp of the creative process. As well, Alex has excellent organizational skills and always delivers on time and with the highest quality. Combining these attributes with a deep passion for all things audio and you have a real asset to your team!
